This is the main problem in Uzbekistan. When owners of such places open this type of business in a so-called by locals the "center". They over hype the prices for everything. Well, it is for sure that this place has brought the chief with unique skills of cooking non Uzbek meals but at the end of the day those meals would have been considered as just above the average in Western countries and it would cost there at least two times less than over here. Also, don't forget that those Western countries economy levels are way higher than in Uzbekistan. So come on, this isn't a European country. This is Uzbekistan where the minimum pay rate per hour is 1$. The average monthly salary is 500$. Ordered two meals, two salads, one cocktail, a pint of local cheap (sarbast) drought beer. The bill was around 700 thousand sum = around 60$ and yet I didn't find anything extraordinary there to charge me that much. Staff 9/10. Meal 10/10. Salads 7/10. Cocktail 8/10. Beer 3/10. I know it was sarbast red but there were only two options in the menu for beer and I never heard of the other one before (I worked as a bar manager in the UK). I don't know why but it was curious for me how good sarbast red can be for 60k)) 5$
