The temple is dedicated to the goddess of the sea Matsu, the patroness of sailors, so people often come here for luck on the road and in business. We had a great time on vacation, maybe Matsue helped us a little :) You can try a local ritual with Kau Tsim fortune—telling sticks - you pull out a number and get a prediction. It was built relatively recently — in 1989, but it is already considered one of the largest Chinese temples in Southeast Asia. The viewing platforms offer views of the city, and the pavilions themselves with red columns and lanterns create a vibrant traditional atmosphere. We managed it in about an hour: take a walk, take photos and videos, sit and look at the people around. We got there by taxi. There is no way to use public transport. Walking is also not an idea for the weak.
