We stayed at this hotel from 17.01.2026. The hotel is cozy, the territory is not large, but well maintained, the staff is friendly. They warned me that there were no Russian-speaking staff (I don't speak English), but it didn't become a big problem. The rooms are clean, cleaning and linen change daily, once there was a problem with towels, but it was quickly resolved without any problems. Very high humidity makes itself felt in the rooms, mold can be found in places. The food in the hotel is varied, somewhat specific, but it is quite possible to find the usual, we were not hungry. There are problems with meat, but there are always seafood or chicken in different variations. Very tasty buns and of course ice cream. In my opinion, there could be more local fruits, they are more often served in salads. This was somewhat surprising. Watermelons are not tasty at all, pineapples, mangoes, passion fruit are very tasty. The ocean right in front of the hotel is incomparable, the water and the coastal area are very clean. The sand is dense and fine, without any inclusions, and it is very pleasant to walk. The water is warm and clear.Waves always! - but you can also swim if you go a little deeper. There is a lagoon to the right of the hotel, separated by a reef. In the first half of the day there are absolutely no waves, a smooth entrance to the water and deep enough for those who are afraid of waves to swim to their heart's content. Perhaps someone will find it a little boring in the evening, if compared with, for example, Turkey or others. However, in the evenings there is live, calm music. There are guided tours from tour operators, but we took them from a local Indiko guide. He has his own small company, and we contacted him from Russia before the trip. I liked the individual approach, he will advise what is best. He will plan everything according to your wishes. For long trips, he has a comfortable brand-new minibus with a very careful driver. On the second trip, Issa went with us, who tried very hard and told us the history of the island. Both Indiko and Issa speak Russian well enough. The guys also helped with the purchase of gifts and fruits, and if you need to go to the city, you will be taken by tuk tuk. The impressions are good. If necessary, a phone number to contact Indico +94 77 540 7274 We wrote to WhatsApp and called each other. I hope the review will be useful.

We stayed at this hotel since 03.03.2026. We arrived at the hotel in the evening during dinner, so while we were processing the documents, we were offered to eat, when we returned to the reception, we were immediately given a key. All the staff speaks English, so if you don't know this language, then I advise you to download an offline translator so that you can always communicate. The staff escorted us to the room and delivered our suitcases. The room was very nice, clean, cozy, the windows in this hotel all overlook the ocean. The extras in the room included slippers, drinking water, kettle, refrigerator, tea, coffee, toothbrush with paste, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand gel, TV, safe, fan and air conditioning. The furniture includes a bed, mirror, wardrobe, sofa. Cleaning came every day, the cleaning was clean, towels were changed every day. Relaxing on the beach: the beach itself is clean, it is cleaned every day, sun beds are located on the territory of the hotel, but the distance from the beach can be 3 meters, they start to occupy them in the morning, so I advise you to go for towels at breakfast, which are given to the left of the reception and take a sunbed, by the way, towels are given without a deposit, and they are changed every day, if you forgot your towels on the beach, the staff will pick them up themselves in the evening. There is a red flag hanging on the ocean every day, but this does not prevent anyone from swimming, the main thing is to remember that swimming at a distance at which you stand steadily on your feet, there is also an alternative option to swim in the lagoon located on the right, if you stand with your back to the hotel, there are never waves. The water in the ocean is very warm even in the morning. On food in the restaurant: there is a lot of very spicy food, but there is a warning about it everywhere, there is always a counter with vegetables, a counter with fruits and sweets, separate tables with second courses, tea, bread and soups. In general, there is a lot to choose from, despite some exotic dishes for us) I want to warn you, you can not enter the restaurant in beach clothes, those in swimsuits, pareos, etc., there is a dress code. By drinks: from alcohol, beer, arak, their local drink, gin, and something else are definitely included, they have a separate drinks card for all inclusive, and there is a separate one for what you can buy for money by paying separately. On excursions: you can buy it from a guide, but we took it from a Large Indigo, if you can find it on the beach or better by calling WhatsApp at +94775407274. We went to Ella in a minibus with the four of us, everything went very well, we looked at everything, Indigo helped with the photos, showed the sights, if there were animals on the road, we definitely stopped to look. A deposit of about 60% was left before the tour, don't be afraid) Also, in addition to excursions, Indigo helped to buy fruits home, all the fruits were delivered in perfect order, all fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, we also couldn't, but you can also ask to go to the seafood market, after which his wife will cook them for you for free, they say it's delicious. You can also contact him if you want to clarify something, he will always tell you how best. If you like an active lifestyle, I advise you to take a surfing lesson on the beach next to the hotel, the instructors speak Russian there, it costs $ 25 per person for an hour, you can pay and pesso as you want, we really liked it, despite the small waves, for beginners it's the best. By the way, the money was changed at the guide, as they did not have time at the airport(

We have been vacationing at the hotel since February 20, 2026. The three of us are two adults and a child of 11 years old. The hotel is not big, a little old, but clean and well maintained. A green area with a pond and colorful fish. The room stock is far from new, but do not forget that it is not 5*. The food is a buffet. Half of the distribution is national dishes, the other half is European. For sophisticated and dietary-demanding guests, there is likely to be a meager variety, but we are not very whimsical, so we always found something to eat. In addition to the main dishes, there were always pastries, fried eggs, fried bacon, two types of porridge and muesli and cereals for breakfast. For lunch, there are several side dishes and meat and two types of soup. For dinner, several types of side dishes, meat and fish are standard. It's all natural with salads, vegetables, snacks and a sweet table. There were no special delicacies, but several times there was fresh fish, rolls and door blue cheese. Many of the second courses are spicy, you need to pay attention to the signs that indicate the degree of spiciness). Wild peacocks, monitor lizards, many different birds and a large number of chipmunks came to the beach every day. The most important feature of the hotel is the beach! It's big, beautiful, the sand is shallow and pleasant. There is a natural reef that acts as a natural wall from the waves and there you can swim comfortably with kids and those who like calm water. There is a smooth, not deep approach and it is always calm. There are a lot of crabs on the beach in the evenings, flying foxes fly, large turtles swim to the beach at night to lay eggs. Here, on the beach, every evening at 18:00, small hatched turtles are released into the ocean. The main disadvantage of the hotel for us was the small number of sun beds. In order to sunbathe on a sunbed during the day, you had to wake up at 6 a.m. and have time to occupy the sun beds before 7 a.m. otherwise you simply wouldn't get them))) The hotel is filled with 90% elderly Europeans, so there are no fun discos or any activities. But there is water aerobics in the mornings and live music in the evenings. There is billiards and table tennis. It is better to buy excursions on the beach. We decided to try it and bought one tour from the guide and regretted the money and time spent. The excursion was to the elephant nursery. Along the way, they were supposed to visit a Hindu temple, tea plantations and a botanical garden. As a result, they showed us exactly 3 elephants in the elephant nursery and didn't even take us to the rest, we saw the temple from the bus window, a tea plantation in several bushes near the tea factory, where we listened to a lecture for 40 minutes and, of course, an attempt to sell tea at three times the price. And the gemstone factory, too, with a lecture and an attempt to sell everything. In fact, the whole tour is a journey of almost 4 hours one way, 3 elephants and a shopping tour of shops where prices are greatly inflated. Payment for entrance tickets at some locations and meals were not included in the price of the tour, so many quickly ran out of money and we did not get to the botanical garden at all, because there was also an entrance for a fee)))))) All other excursions were bought on the beach right at the hotel from Indica (tel. +94775407274). A very pleasant and cultured person, he organized excellent excursions for us. He showed beautiful places at the same prices as the operator and without separate surcharges. On a big tour of Adam's little peak and the nine arch bridge, we went with him in a comfortable minibus, picked us up right from the reception and even took two lunch boxes with food for each of us from the hotel. He speaks Russian even better than the guide from the operator))). He drives a tuk-tuk to a location within Beruvela and Bentota. Also, for a very modest fee, he takes you shopping in the nearest city by tuk-tuk (10 minutes from the beach) and shows you where you can buy high-quality and inexpensive tea, butter, fruits and everything you need. I also offered to buy fresh fish and seafood with him in the city, and his wife would cook it all for us).
