Anna is a smart girl at the reception, she will help you with everything! Cleaning every day, towels were changed every day, beach towels are also available every day. The food is great, there is a grill outside and a Jacuzzi, snacks and a drunk and a shared restaurant and you definitely won't be hungry here, the choice is great: pork, beef, chicken, various fish, pizza, pasta, seafood almost every day: two types of shells and crabs, vegetables: greens, peas, corn, Brucel cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower. We visited the Sol Palmeras Hotel in Varadero from December 20 to December 29. I would like to give you a guideline right away: Cuba is a special country with decades of sanctions, which leaves its mark. But this hotel (of Spanish management) was a happy exception for us. Positive: · Location and beach: The main trump card! The immaculate ocean is 3 minutes away. The sand is snow—white, like flour, and the view is unforgettable. These are the unsurpassed beaches of Varadero. · Territory: Huge, well maintained, green. There is a main building and a bungalow. · Food: Very varied and delicious, which is very rare in Cuba. · Service: The hand of the Spanish management is felt. Our problem (a leak in the room after a rainstorm) was fixed as politely and promptly as possible on the day of the request. Cleaning is daily. · Comfort: The level is very decent for Cuba. Cons (uncritical): There are minor everyday nuances that remind us of the local reality (for example, there was no brush in our room). It's not super-luxury. Result: Do not expect a pretentious over-the-top here. But all minor shortcomings are fully compensated by a fantastic beach, delicious food and, most importantly, a consistently high level of comfort and service by local standards. We were very satisfied and warmly recall our vacation and the very "Cuban vibe". We recommend it to those who travel beyond the ocean and the sun, but appreciate order and good organization.
