Finally, things are slowly changing for the better. A year ago, the rusty pavilion of the station was transformed. We came especially from Sukhumi to visit the cafe that was opened there. Atmospheric, pleasant music that sounds unobtrusive. The coolness of the lake. Great view. Excellent service. The price tag is slightly higher than the rest. But it's worth it.

Psyrtskha is a stopping point of the Abkhazian railway in the city of New Athos in Abkhazia. There is a very picturesque path along the hydroelectric power station, it is very good that the platform is being restored — an exceptionally beautiful place, especially at dusk, in the evening lights. Nearby there is an ecotrope in the gorge leading to the cell of Simon Kananita, a fall at the hydroelectric power station, a railway road. We recommend a walk, there is definitely something to see here, admission is free (except for ecotropics, there is a ticket office at the entrance)

It's a magical place, I've been climbing here for all 3 days that I've been on Mount Athos. Great atmosphere, music. It feels like it's a movie set or a simulation. I recommend visiting when there are fewer tourists, in the morning or in the evening.

Here you just want to stop, sit in silence and enjoy the moment. The photos are simply gorgeous. One of the most soulful places in Abkhazia. Definitely worth a visit at least once. 5 stars without any questions! From the minus, the savages ran up- PARKING is PAID, give me a cigarette, give me a lighter. Give me 300 rubles for parking. But the place itself is a bomb. Therefore, 5 stars

Psyrtskha is the name of the river of the same name, on the shore of the reservoir of which the platform was built. Translated from Abkhaz, this word means "fir spring". But it wasn't always called that. Until 1951, the platform was called Dacha (because next to the monastery there is one of Stalin's dachas, which can now be visited as a museum), from 1951 to 1967 it bore the Georgian name Agaraki. In 1967, it received its modern name Psyrtskha. The station is located almost in the very center of New Athos, not far from both the monastery and the cave. The platform was built in 1944, during the Great Patriotic War, as part of the Adler-Sukhum line, which was unfinished in the pre-revolutionary period, partly due to the First World War and the revolution, partly due to the lack of specialists and technology to build a railway in such difficult conditions (landslides, passes, mountain rivers).The author of the pavilion and platform design is Georgy Lezhava, a Soviet architect of Georgian origin. The pavilion itself, however, was built already in 1952-1954, but it was designed earlier.

Two stars just for the view. The staff is unfriendly, neither "hello" nor "goodbye". They cheat with the volume of cocktails, the menu says "400 ml", in fact they bring 250 ml, and the price is like 400. Only the Mai Tai cocktail was selected, delicious and juicy, while other cocktails were pure vodka with sugar. Ice latte tastes good, but it's very sweet.

There are no questions about the quality of the drinks, but in the bill all the drinks turned out to be more expensive than on the menu. The waitress said yes, the prices had changed, but the menu just hadn't had time to fix them. This is the first time I've encountered this! But what was it possible? A refreshing coolness awaits you at the waterfall on a sultry day..somehow the air conditioner is right outside. Climbing up, you can see a very beautiful platform with vintage benches, a beautiful lake with fish and then a park.. It was a revelation to me in Abkhazia that water can be drunk from springs, waterfalls, directly from the mountains! Be sure to go further!! Nothing ends beyond the station ;)
