this mosque, which was built by Gazi Süleyman Pasha in 1332, is one of the oldest historical buildings in Izmit. It is located in the Orhan Neighborhood, at a point that dominates the city. Its most important feature from an architectural point of view is the wooden ceiling and support structure in its interior. It is a point worth visiting both with this historical wood texture and the panoramic view of Izmit that it offers from its garden.
