I love this place very much, whenever we have a free minute we come here and just sit looking at the Bosphorus (and feed the cats. By the way, if you come in the morning, the local janitor will tell you which cats haven't been fed yet.) You can climb up to the observation deck - there is a beautiful view of the Bosphorus and the Asian part of Istanbul. A funicular runs from and to Taksim Square, the fare costs about 35 lira. But they are worth it - they save so much effort and time. And of course, from here you can walk to Kabatash marina, from where you can already get to other parts of Istanbul.
