CHARLES BRIDGE, Prague. Charles Bridge, Prague. There are bridges that connect the shores. And there are those that connect the epochs. Charles Bridge is one of the second. According to legend, the first stone was laid by Charles 4. On July 9, 1357 at 5:31 a.m. (it reads the same from left to right and vice versa). This date and time were chosen on the recommendation of astrologers. The bridge, laid at such a moment, should have stood for centuries. Six hundred years. The Vltava River flows beneath him, dark and calm. Thirty statues of saints stand along the bridge and look at you. Silently… They've seen wars, executions, coronations. We are just a moment for them... (to be fair, it should be noted that some of the sculptures are copies, the originals were transported to the National Museum for safekeeping). There is also a channel-the Chertovka river - admire the swan traffic in Prague Venice)) If possible, visit the bridge not once and at different times of the day. Tourists, artists, musicians, and vendors are here during the day. In the morning, the silhouette of a Hail looms through the haze of fog over the Vltava River. The lanterns are still on, but the sky is already turning pink. The statues at this hour look like the guardians of the city. Find the one with the five stars above your head. The saint who was thrown into the river for not revealing the secret of confession. Touch the bas-relief (the bronze is polished to gold by many hands), make a wish. Towards nightfall, tourists disperse to the bars. The bridge is illuminated, but empty. The musicians left, and the artists put down their easels. Just the river, the rock, and the sky. And a strange feeling that the saints are watching you go... the hail is illuminated, as if it is hovering over the city, unreal. Look towards the Old Place, and then towards the other, where the Country is Small. You are between two Prague cities.

A magical place with a rich history! Charles Bridge is the heart of Prague and one of the most beautiful places in Europe. A walk along it takes you back in time: majestic statues, stunning views of the Vltava River and Prague Castle create an unforgettable atmosphere. It is especially beautiful at dawn or in the evening, when there are fewer tourists and you can enjoy the tranquility. You should definitely make a wish at the statue of Jan Nepomuk! The bridge is beautiful at any time of the year and in any weather – a real pearl of Prague.
