Barbaros Square in Beşiktaş is a well-known point with its crowds that I pass by often during the day. It is preferred as a meeting place, but it is not very comfortable to sit and spend time for a long time. It is usually noisy and busy, there is a constant traffic of people around. From time to time, events or crowded groups may coincide. It is a frequented place because it is a central place, but it is not very suitable for those who are looking for tranquility.

This is the heart of Besiktas. There used to be a bus in front of the ferry pier and it was a big mess. After the bus stops were moved, it relaxed a little. The square used to be greener, now it has become a reinforced concrete square like Taksim square. From here, you can walk to the Maritime Museum, Yildiz Palace, Dolmabahçe Palace, Çırağan Palace and many other places.
