There is a column in the square adjacent to Sevastopol Boulevard, named after the victory of the Allied forces over Russia in the Crimean War of the 1850s of the 19th century. The names of Crimean places and the dates of French victories in that war are inscribed in its base. Previously, a bronze statue of Victory with a French flag stood on the column, but the Germans privatized it for the needs of the Reich during the occupation in 1942.
