February, 2026. The three of us stopped by for breakfast, quickly made an order (the menu is small), and received chilled water with lemon to start with). The Belarusian and Norwegian breakfast from our order was being prepared from under the knife, so we waited patiently). Even for a winter breakfast, the amount of food was plentiful :). It turned out to be almost a breakfast snack. Two fried eggs, draniki, cabbage with cranberries, bread, sour cream, slices of brisket, pork sausage with garlic, sour cream - this is one portion of the Belarusian breakfast. The Norwegian breakfast was no less! I had to spend time and work hard))). I'm sorry that I didn't have a chance to try tinctures and have lunch. I'll have to come to Grodno to visit Grusha again! Thank you for the delicious food!

I've been thinking about the assessment for a long time. Honestly, I wanted to put 3, but! I'll explain my choice and start with the disadvantages. 1. Two tables were occupied instead of with me. I ordered borscht and roast. So the borscht was served after 40 minutes, and the roast after another 15 minutes. 2. Supposedly the dumplings for borscht were the most common buns from the store. And one of them is already completely dry. 3. When ordering, I was surprised to hear that there are no number of items! 4. Exit the kitchen through the hall where the customers are sitting, and believe me, when you're waiting for an order, and the chefs come out in full and go to smoke, it's kind of a little annoying. 6. The room is small and the distance between the bar and the table is very small, and when visitors arrive, you almost immediately look at their backs. That's how it is. But to be honest, there are advantages. 1. I have not seen such a serving of borscht yet. We were really surprised. The meat is well cooked and there is really a lot of it. 2. The roast was delicious and there was a lot of it. The mushroom sauce was slightly over-salted, but nothing critical. I finished it with pleasure. So I was thinking what is fair to put in the end

A great atmospheric and cozy place! A glass of cold water while you're waiting for an order, and an ashtray if you want to smoke a cigarette at a table outside. The portions are huge, but the main thing is that it's delicious! The order included a salad with shrimp, beef tongue with grilled vegetables, chopped cutlet with egg and potatoes. The cutlet is really chopped, it breaks up into pieces of meat, the shrimp is large and fresh, the sauces for hot and salad are simply awesome. We had a delicious dinner! A very soulful cafe with an amazing atmosphere. There is a special kind of peace and tranquility here. The food here is simply divine: everything is fresh, appetizing, and you can feel the hand of a real chef. Draniki, soups and desserts are beyond praise! The staff is very nice and friendly. A small cozy restaurant, lucky to sit down right away (it's better to book in advance). We got there by accident, in desperation, trying to have dinner in Grodno, which was crowded for the holidays, and we were pleasantly impressed!🤍 Sponge cakes are perfect (for some reason they are not on the menu), tiramisu has nothing to do with tiramisu, but as a separate dessert it is wonderful. The bartender/waiter forgot about the order, tried to convince me that I had not ordered anything (despite the fact that there were 3 people sitting at the table). We did not hear either hello or goodbye during 3 hours in this institution. Being with a displeased face and glaring at the client during the entire time you are there is simply unprofessional. This place has always been highly recommended to everyone, especially because of Pavel the bartender. We always had an incredible pleasure from visiting. Now, ALAS and AH, never set foot there again.

A charming little inn (in the best sense, it's a compliment): there seem to be only 14 seats at the tables and a few more at the bar if you just want to drink and not stay too long. The soups and hot dishes are amazing, I think, and the snacks, we just haven't tried it. There are not an infinite number of dishes, they tend to run out, the regulars clearly know what exactly has this property. A place with an atmosphere, waitresses (or are they also the hostesses?) We traveled around Belarus, visited Minsk, Brest and Grodno. We chose the establishments with the highest rating to leave the best impressions of the Belarusian cuisine. Of the whole trip, we were most impressed by the food in this particular cafe "At the Pear". The ribs served with borscht are simply delicious! Pancakes with tartare are fantastic! Tinctures are the best in all of Belarus! We came here for breakfast and dinner. We highly recommend this cafe with delicious food and reasonable prices!

The kitchen is very uneven. Yesterday we ordered room service (we lived in an apartment on the second floor), everything was good and delicious. It's just rubbish today. My husband ordered wings and pancakes. It was done pretty quickly, although the difference from yesterday's wings is significant - a completely different sauce. But it's okay. I ordered tongue, pancakes with pears and cappuccino. And that's where it started. They immediately said that we were going to the train station later, there were people - one table was occupied, they asked for the time - to wait for thirty minutes or more. The young lady who served the entire room, including the tables and the bar, nodded. She did not specify about the coffee, nor the order of serving the dishes. As a result, she immediately brought a cappuccino, which remained standing because it was intended for dessert. After 40 minutes of ordering, I started nervously glancing at my watch, somehow I didn't want to miss the train. After a few reminders about themselves, they brought pancakes! Apparently, they usually drink cappuccino first, then snack on sweet pancakes and only then hot meat. Finally, after 45 minutes of waiting, they brought my tongue. The dish is very strange. It was served with a neck that is not only impossible to chew, but also scary to look at. I have never been served a tongue with a neck in any restaurant. And the sauce is not at all in the cashier, sweet. Okay, I ate 2/3 of what I could. I was really hungry. Pancakes. One of my favorite dishes. All the dishes are intricately decorated and look beautiful. The pancakes were supposed to have cottage cheese sauce. I didn't understand it from the first spoonful, for some reason it had a sour taste. I tried one of the other two "roses". It gets more sour every time. I forced the above-mentioned young lady to try. Not even a muscle twitched! Result. I gave the coffee back untouched, because I don't drink cold, I ate pancakes, left the cream (and that's right, I went to the bathroom a couple of times on the train, it's good that I always have an SOS first aid kit with me). I partially ate my tongue. My husband was lucky, everything turned out to be normal. No apologies were received, and nothing was excluded from the bill. Apparently, everything depends very much on who is working today. Overall, the price tag is high, but the quality is not up to par.

I would like to say thank you for everything: the daily smile and attention to the guests, the kind atmosphere, the homely interior and a glass of lemonade as a bonus, the selection of books on the wide windowsill between the oak shutters that will help you forget about the time while you wait for your order, the excellent serving and taste of even the simplest and most ubiquitous draniki in Belarus.. Toasted artisan bread for every dish is a miracle! We were in Grodno in early October, so the queues that other cafe guests write about are not familiar to us, so take advantage of the moment and visit the guys at the Pear Tree - I'm sure you will be satisfied and, of course, you will be well fed! By the way, an important point is that the cost of meals relative to other cafes in the city will also please you).

And the turkey with plums was a little overdried, plum sauce is a good idea, but for a harmonious taste, sour plums just lacked spices, salt and something sweet. A full breakfast (pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and greens arrived in 50 minutes). At the same time, the cooking quality of the latter does not match the waiting time ..something like this.
