Nice place if your purpose is not to visit a great sightseeing but just walk. It’s pretty big and nice as well as old and you’ll feel this everywhere inside :) as tickets are really cheap you can have a good time here but there won’t be anything special.

The Saigon Zoo (or Zoological and Botanical Gardens) left a very pleasant impression. The enclosures themselves, to be honest, are already a bit outdated, and fans of modern European zoos may find it a little cramped here. But this place is worth a visit for the very special atmosphere. We got there on a weekend, and it was a real celebration of the locals. The park area turned into a huge recreation area: Vietnamese families spread mats on lawns everywhere, hiding in the dense shade of ancient trees. If you want to see the real Ho Chi Minh City and understand how the locals escape from the heat and spend time with their family, go here. Quite a lot of animals, reptiles, butterflies, tropical plants, bansai and skeletons! We have never seen so many skeletons of representatives of the animal world before. And some more interesting facts for which it is worth visiting this place.: ·1️⃣8️⃣6️⃣4️⃣ One of the oldest in the world: It is one of the 8 oldest zoos on the planet, being a living monument to the history of the colonial era. · 🦒The largest in Vietnam: It is the largest zoo and botanical garden in the country, often referred to as the "green lungs" of Ho Chi Minh City. ·🌱A unique botanical garden: In addition to animals (more than 2000 individuals of 135 species), there is a huge collection of plants: about 2500 trees (some more than 100 years old) and over 900 species of flora, including rare orchids and cacti.

The zoo is very interesting, at first glance it doesn't seem big... but we were three hours short! The animals are in good condition! The territory is large, lots of greenery, flowers, ponds ... you can sit on benches and watch the animals! It's a very atmospheric place! I recommend you to visit

It's a good place. Not wow\super\duper\shock. But it's good to take a walk for a couple of hours for a change. There are quite a lot of animals, especially iguanas and peacocks. The rest are paired with elephants and giraffes. In general, everything is there. There aren't any bears, but they're hot. But there are foxes... which surprised me.

Wonderful zoo! Compact. The animals are well-groomed. We had a very nice and warm time there. There was another show, and the kids were thrilled.

The place is cozy, green, lots of trees and shade. There are many animals: elephants, tigers, monkeys, birds of various species. There's plenty of room for kids here. Overall, the atmosphere was pleasant, and it was interesting to take a walk.

Leisure, walking, super. The child is happy, do not expect modernity, as well as from the whole of Ho Chi Minh City. Beautiful photos are guaranteed.. monkeys and birds do not walk in a cage, they are well-mannered. The cost January 2025 is 60k for adults, 40k for children (up to 130cm tall). They gave us a check at the checkout for the child as an adult, even though the child was standing next to us and we pointed at him.

We were at the Ho Chi Minh City Zoo in mid-April. The zoo is very beautiful and big. A huge terrarium, and indeed reptiles in the zoo at every turn, as well as birds. There are no northern animals, but in such heat and stuffiness it would not be easy for them. Be sure to visit families with children in Ho Chi Minh City.

Well, this, we were not impressed by the word at all. There was an easy hope to see unusual conditions for keeping animals, but no. Everything is like everyone else's. It's very hot for us and the zoo residents. Wasted time.
