An incredible castle, the feeling that such a thing cannot be in reality: bright walls, a special decoration of the facade and inside made of ceramics, all this against the background of an ancient forest, mountains and stones covered with moss and bindweed. An absolute fairy tale!

An incredible place! It's very difficult to get there, but it's worth it. The palace is located at a height, offering stunning panoramic views. The architecture is enchanting, everything is surrounded by greenery. It's a very pleasant area, you can safely go for a whole day to get around everything here. We arrived for two hours and it was very short, very beautiful!

It is better to buy tickets on the website for a certain time. ( they cost 20 euros ), you will save yourself from queues. There is a city bus from the center of Sintra, which costs 4.5 euros one way or 8.6 euros round trip (stop at the railway station) There are also a lot of tuk-tuks, but the prices there start from 15 euros one way per person It's definitely worth a look, the former monastery has been converted into the country residence of the last Portuguese king.

It is beautiful from the outside, inside there is a large exposition of the chambers of the owners of this castle, a lot of people. They are allowed into the palace on time, and a decent queue is gathering at the entrance. I advise you to visit the palace first, and then the territory.

A stunningly beautiful castle, in a wonderful location. It's very beautiful, very interesting. But you need to visit with a guide, otherwise you will lose a lot.

Spain. Sintra City It is a great pleasure to visit the city of Sintra and the Royal Pena Palace. You need to take the whole day, a huge beautiful territory, parks and gardens, you can walk for a long time and a lot, but it's better to make an electronic appointment in advance, and it's also advisable to buy tickets in advance and electronically, because the queues there are incredible, and under the bright sun, of course, it's hard to stand in summer. Electronic cash desks, payment by card. The upper palace, the lower one, the park , the impressions are vivid.

A must-visit. It is better to buy tickets online, as the crowds are everywhere. It is located high on a mountain , so it is better to get there by bus . The views are fascinating!

A beautiful castle that requires serious restoration. Endless huge queues, they talk about the stable income of the owner of the castle, why don't they send money for restoration? Be sure to buy tickets in advance on the castle's website and there is also a separate ticket for a trip uphill from the park gate to the castle itself.

It is better to buy tickets in advance or take a private tour with a visit to the palace. And come in the morning, while there are no tour groups. The palace is small inside, so there will be very little space. It's very nice to walk in the park!

A very beautiful place! - like a "toy knight's castle" on the mountain. Wonderful views. For a trip to the La Pena Palace, we bought a Gray Line bus tour in Lisbon. (these are yellow tourist buses). You can buy it at the tour office, as well as at the office of the bus company (Marquis Pombal Square). The price is 85 euros ( with lunch \ 75 euros without lunch. Departure from Lisbon was at 8:40. The tour includes: a visit to the La Pena Palace, including a guided tour (English, Portuguese, Spanish, French); + a little walk through the palace park. Then there was lunch at a restaurant in Sintra and half an hour of time to walk around the town. Then we went to Cape Roka (the most extreme point of Western Europe) - we spent half an hour there. Then the place of the Devil's Mouth near the town of Cascais and free time for a walk around Cascais. We enjoyed the trip. Everything is organized and tickets to enter the castle + a small bus ride from the park entrance to the castle (difficult climb) were included in the price.

A magical place in its energy and beauty. Just do not try to climb to the castle on foot: the steep path to the hill is lined with slippery cobblestones and climbing may not be safe. There is a bus coming from below

For some reason, I remembered this palace (or castle!), apparently I don't have enough impressions. A bright, yellow-red palace! It turns out that color matters, red is the ancient buildings of the monastery, yellow is the creation of King Ferdinand II. Portuguese azulejo ceramics are found a lot (vaguely reminiscent of our blue and white gzhel), the gates are decorated in the Azulejo style. We walked around the garden, around the castle, wonderful views from the observation decks, there was a strong wind, we felt like a bit of a Hollywood actress. And an endless number of turrets, ladders, crocodiles, triton - all mysteries and myths...

It's a good place, but not the most important thing in Sintra.

The castle stands on the top of the mountain. It is better to come to the opening so that there are fewer tourists. The lack of taste of the owners led to an architectural mess of the palace, which made it a popular place for tourists to visit. It all started with the modest buildings of the monks, who retired from people to a difficult mountainous area. Having taken the monastery to live in, each subsequent royal person added their own architectural whims to the structure. I have not seen such palaces before. I recommend.

Delight! We were at the castle of the Moors first, then on foot here, a single ticket. It is easy to get by train from the center of Lisbon, then you can take an UBER...

Moreau will be more interesting. The views are crazy, the foam is also normal. But it's a little small, especially if you've been to Alhambra.

It's not worth spending 40 euros. A poor garden, an ordinary castle, a crowd of people

A gorgeous garden park, an impressive palace, a steep climb. We took a tuk-tuk ride from Sintra Station itself, and it took us to the entrance to the park. Then we had to overcome the steep climb through the beautiful park ourselves. The place is fantastic! Tip: take some water with you, be sure to wear comfortable shoes, and a thermos of coffee or tea will not hurt (we were in winter)
