The Palace Bridge in Berlin is a very beautiful and atmospheric place. It connects the historic districts of Friedrichswerder and Spreeinzel and stands right in the city center, at the eastern end of Unter den Linden. It was built in the early 19th century by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, and this stone structure still looks impressive and elegant. Interestingly, there used to be a wooden bridge with a funny name — the Dog Bridge, and in the middle of the 20th century the bridge even bore the name of Marx and Engels. But today it is again known as the Palace, and it sounds much more harmonious for such a place. Walking across the bridge is a great way to feel the spirit of old Berlin. On one side there is a view of historical buildings, on the other — the water and the island of Spree. If you love architecture and history, you should definitely take a walk through it.

It is beautiful, but the construction of the century: the palace, the subway, and the surrounding reconstruction has been going on for fifteen years, so the overall picture does not add up yet. I'm sick of this eternal construction site.
