During a tour of Yerevan's oldest district, Kond, which is defined as the "slums of Yerevan" (continuous labyrinths of narrow streets, skeletons of collapsed and still crumbling buildings, where even in Soviet times police reports simply wrote "the criminal escaped to Kond"), and currently the most expensive the land in Armenia, with a well-equipped interior of these dilapidated buildings), went to the cafe "Old Courtyard". Representing a small courtyard for several families, with a single table for five people, with stretched clotheslines in the courtyard (this is not an entourage, it is part of the way of life of people living here), you get into the atmosphere of the 30s-60s, already of the last century, the USSR. The memory of which is carefully preserved in this house. The hospitable, unhurried host is Aram. He also managed to make a small museum out of the free space. His wife, Ruzanna, was attentive and quickly set the table with treats (some fruits, cheese). By the way, I'm a 6th grade cook. She also prepared the main traditional Armenian pastry, gata. Another dish that I rated for myself in Armenia, along with tolma (dolma is in our usual transcription). So, her gata took the 1st place out of all that I tried in Armenia (surpassing the taste of the gata of the restaurant "Tun Armeni" from Dilijan). We tasted the pomegranate wine prepared by the owner and the pomegranate juice prepared in our presence. Everything is very tasty. They also took it with them. You should definitely visit here. This is probably the last place where the national flavor of Armenia still remains. With her difficult and tragic fate. It doesn't make much sense to write about the possibility of traveling in Conde. If, of course, you were able to climb here on your own, then you will be able to move around this area (the task is to climb). According to my "scale of available obstacles" - 0 points out of 5.

We came for a walk in the Kond district and happened to see this place. Honestly, we are interested in wine tasting I don't understand the outraged price reviews. We immediately asked what the cost was. As a result, this is exactly the price we received. What's the problem with asking right away? As a result, for 13,000 we received three full glasses of the most wonderful wine, two plates of fruit, two cheese plates, pastries and pomegranate juice. They also poured a wonderful compote for the child. We sat for about three hours talking, the children playing with the kittens. The place is colorful and warm. It was like visiting friends. Since it was already dark, they also helped us to call a taxi to the hotel. In general, we are unusually satisfied. Thank you to the wonderful people for such a warm welcome. PS. We also listened to the history of the district during the conversations. 👍

If you want to experience the Armenian hospitality and flavor, then I definitely recommend visiting this place. Walking through the old neighborhood, we stopped for a snack in the Old Courtyard. Aram and Ruzanna greeted us like real relatives. Delicious homemade food and wine! Dolma, hash, Gata, wine, cognac - amazingly delicious! They took the wine and cognac with them! We will definitely come back again

A stunningly authentic place that we recommend to every guest of Yerevan! The hospitable host, delicious coffee and cognac, natural pomegranate juice, which was squeezed out right in front of us, I probably haven't tasted it yet, we are very satisfied and it is very tasty to us! Thank you and we will recommend you to our friends.

This cafe offers sets, a set of "dolma" or "hashlama", which includes: main course, vegetables, fruits, jam, sweets, tea, compote and wine. To be honest, this set seemed very big for the two of us. We couldn't finish everything. The cost is 7 thousand. But it is better to specify the prices for everything in advance, a lot is offered for extra money. It's incredibly beautiful, delicious, and has a good-natured atmosphere. We really liked it. I definitely recommend you to visit.

Excellent. The table is outdoors, inside a really old courtyard. It was just the two of us, we took one set and an addition to it - the main dish from another set. For everything, including wine, tea, sweets - 7000 +3000 = 10000 drams.

A very interesting and unusual place in the old Kond district, which is more than 600 years old and where the history of modern Yerevan came from. Inside, there is an interesting interior of the courtyard and apartment buildings in which the owner himself has lived since birth and the house has been more than 300 years old. Hashlama is out of the question, and the jam and tea went off with a bang!

A great place for those who decide to stroll through the old district of Yerevan, and then have a snack. 7000 drams is a large set. The atmosphere encourages you to stay and chat with the host. I recommend to try the pomegranate wine, which he makes himself. The Kond area is safe to visit, even though it is considered a slum.

The atmosphere matches the neighborhood - everything is historical, old, dilapidated. It's probably worth a look, but I wouldn't eat or drink anything there a second time. The gata is dry (obviously not the first freshness), the coffee is not poorly prepared, but, apparently, from the cheapest grain (the taste is not coffee, but a drink "with the taste of coffee"). "cognac."... Well, that's a different story. I don't know how shameful it is to offer This in the country of cognacs. Apparently, an aromatic additive has been added to something alcohol-containing. It's definitely not cognac. After tasting, the chemical taste of this flavor haunted for almost half a day. As a result, it's an interesting location, a good idea, a lame execution of the idea, and tasteless. You can take a look, but you can't just take coffee, only sets with gata, which you probably won't finish, ask them to wrap up with you and then throw it away. Maybe something from the kitchen is delicious, but there is no desire to try it at all. I'm sorry that there are a lot of letters, but I would like such places to try to be better and pay attention to constructive criticism.

stars only for the interesting location, after all, the second oldest building in Yerevan. We ordered one large set for 4 people and one separate dish each, plus wine. the owner of the place was clearly unhappy with this (apparently the order was not big enough), because every 5 minutes he came running and asked if we had finished the wine. dolma surprisingly turned out to be tasteless, which is generally unthinkable for Armenia. an incomprehensible payment system, as if the owner is coming up with prices on the go. In general, the atmosphere is like this: take a sip and have it.. (go away)

AN AMAZING PLACE!!! Without exaggeration) we dropped by for a minute, and stayed for three hours! We were fed a delicious lunch and given homemade wine. In a cozy atmosphere, with warm conversations, time flew by unnoticed. I definitely recommend to immerse yourself, not far from the center of Yerevan, in an authentic environment with a rich history. After all, such sincere, kind people can only be found at their place of residence in a natural environment. Without exaggeration, it turned out to feel the atmosphere of ordinary life, definitely here) The cafe is located in the courtyard of an old mosque, which is completely strange and amazing!!! Thank you for every minute spent here, I will not forget these minutes, it is warm in my soul!!!

An atmospheric place with a beautiful authentic setting, but the complete lack of prices on the menu and the personal charm of the host who served me turned out to be just a thoughtful tactic. After a warm evening, the final bill doubled (20,000 drams) exceeded all reasonable expectations, leaving a feeling not of sincere hospitality, but of cold calculation. I recommend that you be extremely careful and be sure to specify the cost of each dish before ordering, so as not to experience such a shock.

Very good. According to the signs outside, it is unclear what to expect. Inside there is an old courtyard for several families, where people live, and several tables. It's not like it's a business, a tourist institution, but just locals doing such a cool thing in their yard. For some reason, it is cool and fresh, not stuffy air here. And most importantly, it's quiet. Best of all, in the evening. If you want a luxury interior, that's not it. You don't have to come here with such expectations. Here it is like visiting good friends in the country, so that you can be fed homemade food there - your jam, hashlama, your fruits from the garden. The menu boils down to "delicious tea/coffee with fruits and sweets", "hashlama lunch" and "glass of wine". And that's a good thing. The specific composition changes slightly every day according to circumstances (we visited three times during the vacation - I liked it so much). Hashlama is not dry, it somewhat resembles Tatar soup, and therefore it is more pleasant to eat than the one that is in restaurants in the center. At the same time, they will show everything - the place is ancient.

The atmosphere - yes, that's the end of it. Get a price list or something. I am very indignant that in the end I had to pay a different amount than they announced at the beginning. And yes, gata is not homemade. I can't mistake the taste of baking soda for anything else.

Most likely, the reviews for this place are hyped up: my friends and I were bribed for money in this place, and when asking friends from Konda, it turned out that this was not the first time that people faced double or triple charges and poor service. You'd better go to any other place in Conde.

I strongly do not recommend this place!I was in Armenia for 10 days. During this time, I have been to three cities, visited ~ 10 food outlets of different service classes. The staff at all establishments (except for this cafe in Conte) were polite and gave advice on their dishes. And it was only at this cafe in Conte that we were literally kicked out. Armenia is beautiful, this cafe is the only thing that ruined the trip!
