We go to the clinic on a regular basis, everything was fine, the doctors are caring. But I regretted that I took the dog to brush his teeth. This was the first purge in 4.5 years. After 3 months, all the stone and plaque completely returned, and the gums became inflamed again. What had been building up for 4.5 years returned in just 3 months. I asked if the enamel had been sanded and cleaned in the gum pockets. They told me no. If you go deeper into this issue, then sanding is an important final stage of the procedure: without polishing, the tooth surface remains rough, and plaque begins to accumulate much faster. And without cleaning the gum pockets, the inflammation will return as in our case. As a result, 500 GEL and anesthesia for the dog turned out to be, in fact, in vain. It's a shame. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend brushing teeth in this clinic.

Returning from our road trip, we decided to stop in Tbilisi for a few days. Upon arrival, on the first evening (10/30/2025), we noticed that our dog's activity decreased and in the evening he refused to eat. The next day (10/31/2025), during a morning walk, he began to have diarrhea, after which, apparently, his appetite did not return. A few hours later, the dog started vomiting. Since we are not local, we chose the clinic based on its location and rating on maps. The choice was made by Vetmed (we saw negative ratings, but they mainly concerned the operating mode, which we considered the lesser of the evils). When we arrived at the clinic, we reported that we suspected poisoning in our dog. After that, the doctors, taking our word for it, without examining the dog, without measuring the temperature, but simply listening to the symptoms, began to treat him for poisoning (the dog was given ivs, antiemetic injections and antibiotics). They also took a clinical blood test from the dog and informed him that he would need to be treated for at least 2 more days, since this is the minimum course of antibiotics. By the end of the drip, the results of a blood test appeared, based on which we were informed that there were no critical changes in the indicators. We were prescribed a list of medications that must be given to the dog at home and released. We went to our apartment, but the dog didn't feel any better. In the evening, he started vomiting again and all the medicines we gave him ended up outside. In the middle of the night, realizing that the condition was only getting worse, we went to the clinic again (and yes, the doctor on duty for 24/7 appointments was indeed at the clinic). We were admitted by a doctor who began to suspect that the dog was not just poisoned. The dog's temperature was measured for the first time, which turned out to be above 40 °, and a blood test for a tick-borne infection was taken, which turned out to be positive. To make an accurate diagnosis, we were sent to another clinic for an ultrasound scan, since it was not possible to do it at vetmed at the time of our treatment. The dog was put back on standard ivs for poisoning, prescribed a number of more medications to take at home and released. After arriving home at 7 a.m. and sleeping for a few hours, we got ready to go for an ultrasound. On this day (01/10/2025), our dog's urine turned bloody. After an ultrasound scan, we returned to vetmed with the conclusion that the pattern of changes occurring with the organs is indeed characteristic of a tick-borne infection. vetmedi took more blood from our dog for biochemical analysis and continued ivs with saline, glucose and antiemetics. At the end of the ivs, we were given a strong injection of an antibiotic, which, according to our attending veterinarian, was supposed to put our dog in order, namely 2 days of antibiotic injections and then 21 days of treatment on tablets. After all the procedures, the dog urinated blood and vomited again, despite all the medications, including antiemetic injections. The dog never started eating, or rather, he continued to feel sick even from small portions of food, so we just gave him at least a teaspoon of water. During the night and morning walks, the blood in the urine remained the same brownish-red. The next day (02.10.2025), we went to vetmed as standard for IVs and the very second injection that was supposed to bring our dog back to life. Alas. Of the possible side effects that were described to us from the use of this drug, only numbness of the hind legs was indicated due to its severe pain. After the injection, the dog just went limp. We went outside and he didn't seem to be oriented in space. He stopped urinating, although the day before, after an IV drip, he ran to do his business as fast as he could. We went back to the apartment. They continued to water the dog with a teaspoon and give him medicine. And after 2 hours, the worst began. He started having seizures, first his head was shaking, then his whole body. We quickly took the car and rushed to vetmed. Our attending veterinarian had the day off, so another doctor listened to us, who called her and then came out to us with the phrase: "We can't help you in any way, you need to go to the hospital." Having received the tests and the list of drugs that the dog was given these days (written by hand without a signature and seals) we rushed to the hospital, where another story began, unrelated to this clinic. The result is the same, on 03.10.2025 our Reef turned 8 years old, and on 05.10.2025 it was gone. It was the fault of the Vetmed staff that it was gone. When you come to the doctor, you hope that you can just trust the professionals and know that competent people will do everything to help you. Unfortunately, this thesis does not work in this clinic. Take care of your ponytails and try to avoid this place.

Wonderful clinic! I brought them a street cat (kitten), with a rotting jaw, everything was done in the best possible way! They took out a long-stuck bone, which caused the rot to begin, took out several rotten teeth, washed them all, treated them for fleas, gave them an antibiotic, and vaccinated them. We wrote what to buy and how and what to do, then we will be treated at home.. They took 20 GEL.. Once again, 20 lari!! These wonderful people make big discounts for street animals!! May God grant them all good health!!
