In 2012, I was lucky enough to stay in Vatopede on the day of the celebration of the belt of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the first holiday after Easter in the Vatopede monastery. There were an unimaginable number of people from all over the world. The service lasted from evening until lunch the next day with a coffee break. Everything is as it should be on Mount Athos with the "teriremes" and the rocking of the oros. Like I've been to heaven. Well, the meal was right royal!!!
