I recommend starting the entrance to the cave city through a tunnel, it's more spectacular than using the nearest stairs. We were impressed by the tunnel, and we went through it to get out. As leisurely tourists, it took us 4 hours on Uplistsikhe! There are a lot of interesting things in it, even an active temple. The caves are signed. In the process, we read to ourselves on Wikipedia about this city at different times. A very cool place, similar to Mangup-Kale, Eski-Kermen in the Crimea, only even bigger and more interesting, even for experienced and experienced cave towns. We found ourselves on a windless spring day with good weather and had a lot of fun! The entrance fee is 15 lari. After the entrance there is a free toilet and a free uninteresting mini museum. We traveled from Tbilisi in one day, combined with a tour of Jvari on the way and Mtskheta on the way back. It turned out to be a great eventful sightseeing day!

We went on guided tours, the impressions were extraordinary, the place of residence of ancient people, the views from above were beautiful and fascinating. The only thing was that it was quite difficult for us to climb to the top, and how foreign grandparents climbed there is generally incomprehensible. I recommend it, the landscape is just alien. There is a temple at the top, as everywhere else in Georgia. There are souvenir shops, coffee shops and toilets at the entrance. I don't know the entrance fee, the guide bought it. Parking is available, quite spacious
