The monumental sculpture of the Sphinx, which still pleases us with its existence and is one of the points of the route of the Giza pyramid complex. You can get there from the ticket offices on a free bus that makes several stops, the sphinx will be the last of them. Passing through the temple of the Sphinx allows you to find yourself on a small observation deck, where there are always a lot of people, but you can take photos, since the circulation of groups is constant. Wooden paths are laid out under the paws of the sphinx, perhaps soon they will open up the opportunity to walk around it, but for now we are glad to see it at least from the observation deck.

The sculpture of the Sphinx is located in the complex of the Great Pyramids of Giza. The sculpture is believed to have been built in 2559 BC as a guardian of the peace of the deceased pharaohs. It is still not clear who knocked off his nose during these three millennia. There is even a version about the French troops of the time of Napoleon (when they were on a campaign against Egypt). The sculpture, of course, is not as large-scale as the pyramids, but still very impressive. The distance to it from the pyramids is small, so, of course, it should be visited. You won't be able to approach the Sphinx directly, but you can get a good view of the sculpture from different angles. The only thing is that there are a lot of tourists here, groups go one by one and you won't be able to get alone with the Sphinx -)
