Came for lunch without a reservation and was able to be seated . Service was knowledgeable and wonderful. Our server explained about the decor and the dishes. Our food came in a reasonable time limit. This was a memorable experience and we plan to return.

The Sandyq restaurant in Astana is a culinary gem that exemplifies the artistry of Kazakh cuisine. Each dish, from the meticulously crafted salads to the main courses, is a testament to the chef's mastery. The horse meat, in particular, was exceptionally tender, succulent, and cooked to perfection, while the salad dressings were simply exquisite. The appetizers, notably the breaded snacks such as samsa, were delectable, and even the butter possessed a unique and delightful flavor. Our primary motivation for visiting was to witness the live performance by the gifted singer Bek Nuriddinuly, and it proved to be the highlight of the evening. The performance featured a dombira player and a lady playing the qobiz, their music adding an unforgettable dimension to the dining experience. Regrettably, the tea fell short of the high standards set by the rest of the meal, cooling down too rapidly. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Sandyq to anyone seeking an authentic Kazakh culinary experience in a vibrant and engaging atmosphere.
