We had a vacation with my husband here in December 2024, it was our honeymoon. In general, we really liked everything, I'll write in more detail.: 1) Rooms Initially, we were accommodated on the 1st floor because there were no rooms available on the 2nd floor (we arrived at 3 a.m.). Thank God we were moved to the 2nd floor in the morning! It's very cold on the 1st floor, we were freezing all night even without air conditioning, and the hood was making a lot of noise. The 2nd floor with a balcony was perfect, a more "new room". The furniture is of course shabby everywhere) But when traveling to Asia, you should not expect luxury unless it is an expensive hotel. Towels seemed to be changed consistently, and the bed for all 9 days never once. In general, the room was cleaned, and the water was replenished steadily. But the floors were a little dirty, but we were given slippers (only for some reason when we moved to the 2nd floor). The balcony is a separate privilege — you can't see the neighbors, but the ocean is right next to it) 2) Food I don't understand why many people didn't get it. The food was very good! Indeed, it was possible to eat so much at breakfast that it was enough until dinner. The buffet format featured European and local cuisine. There was always a choice (we had breakfast+dinner included). There are a lot of fresh herbs and vegetables, alas, only papaya, bananas and pineapples from fruits, there was nothing more exotic. A large selection of pastries and sweets, fish, meat and seafood. Everything is delicious in terms of spices, there is little spicy (mostly for locals). Tea and coffee are mediocre, coffee can be made for 400 rubles separately. Juices are free only for breakfast, you will have to pay for them at dinner, as well as for other drinks) 3) Service He's good, the staff is polite everywhere. Everyone speaks English, which is a big plus. If you go on an excursion in the morning before breakfast, then you will be given it with you. The bar is paid, as is the beach bar. The beach towels are fresh. They conduct various activities in the form of water polo and darts. By the way, I highly recommend visiting the gym at the hotel, there is a wonderful coach there. The gym provides water and towels. The service is a bit intrusive in terms of additional paid services (drinks for dinner and dinner for two on the beach), but in general they understand that you don't want to. Everyone is smiling, always ready to help. 4) The beach The ocean is literally 100 meters away from the hotel. There is a pool nearby with fairly warm water, there are always few people in it, the water is not heavily chlorinated. Palm squirrels are running around on the beach, which don't really make contact. The sun beds are normal, towels are provided. The beach is being cleaned, the dogs are being kicked out. When we were on the beach, a turtle crawled out and laid eggs. The wave is strong, so I advise you to walk to the rocks (less than a kilometer) and swim there, because there is no wave and you can go deeper. 5) Guides Hotel guide from the Fan&We didn't like San at all. We highly recommend our new friend Ravinda (he walks along the beach of the hotel and speaks excellent Russian. A wonderful and kind person who doesn't try to cheat you for money. He even gave us a gift before we left!). Ravindu and I went on safari along the Bentota River, Galle city, turtle Conservation Center, Bentona village and Alutgama city for shopping. He rides a tuk-tuk and all the excursions were just the two of them. We also recommend tuk-tukers Madu and Raja (they stand at the entrance to the hotel), but they do not speak Russian. 6) Evening program It's pretty boring for young people, but on the whole they try their best! They invite musicians who sing well in English. There was also a show of local dances and a fakir. We didn't get to Christmas and NG, but there was a dinner and a party for those holidays. 7) The contingent of vacationers We were very glad that there were almost no children in the hotel. Enjoy the peace and comfort. There were very few Russian tourists, literally 3-4 people. Mostly a lot of Germans, there were French. There are vacationers from India and even local wealthy Sri Lankans. Everyone is very culturally behaved, no one got drunk or rowdy. You can even get to know someone. You can try to get acquainted with the French hotel guide Adil, a great guy, became our friend. 8) Overall impression We really liked this hotel, the service is good. If you need to relax in seclusion, enjoy the ocean and nature — you are here. There are no animals running around the hotel, which is a huge plus. Everything you need from shops and attractions is nearby. A tuk-tuk costs pennies. It is better to go to Induruva, to this hotel, than to Hikkaduwa (there are a lot of tourists from the CIS, it is noisy like in Turkey, and dirty beaches).

We went in the middle of November 2025. I have considered this hotel and the Temple Tree Resort & Spa 4*. I chose Pandanus because of the beautiful pool and proximity to the cape, although it was 20 thousand more expensive. When booking, we were convinced that it would be possible to swim at the cape. This argument has become decisive. In fact, it's all nonsense. There are no less waves here. Going back, I would have chosen the Temple Tree, it's cheaper, and I didn't go on vacation at Pandanus at all. At first, everything was good, I liked the hotel. - I really enjoyed relaxing by the ocean (despite the fact that it often rained, we still managed to go on excursions and sunbathe on the beach before it rained). We were very worried about the weather, there were constant rains in the second half of November, but in fact there were days without them at all or the rain started in the afternoon. The locals recommended the Windi app to keep track of the weather. But it was often wrong. - I swam in the ocean once. The waves are strong, the red flag is always there. My husband climbed a couple of times, jumped on the waves, but at the depth the waves are already dragging away. Few swim here. - The humidity here is very high, things have not dried completely. - The staff is friendly, they speak only English, no one in the hotel knows Russian. At the same time, in a conflict situation, they will not do anything to help the guest. More on that later. - The rooms are comfortable, the towels were cleaned and changed daily. The cleaning is good. Special thanks for the balcony, we lived on the second floor and it's nicer here than by the pool. - WI-FI is working, but not stable, but you can watch videos on your phone more often, although the Internet was simply lost from time to time. It helped to turn off and turn on Wi-Fi again. - The tap water is very soft, does not wash away the sand after the beach. - Pay attention to the sockets, they need an adapter. We took them at the hotel, but they are not very good here, charging from the phone did not always work and often sparked. - In my opinion, the time of breakfasts and dinners is inconvenient. Breakfast is until 9.30 am, and dinner is from 7.30 pm. I haven't gotten up yet in the morning, and in the evening I prefer not to eat at that time. In the end, although the accommodation was with meals, my meals didn't work out well there. And the dinner itself didn't come to me (there are no delicious salads, a lot of protein, but it's mostly very spicy). - I was annoyed that there were no drinks at all (including non-alcoholic ones) at the paid dinner. When you ask for a glass of wine, it suddenly turns out that you owe an overdraft for the bottle (13,000 rupees or 5,000 rubles). Naturally, I was not warned that the wine was not included in the dinner and that the entire bottle was being redeemed, not the glass, either at the time of ordering or in advance (although it later turned out that the waiter had not brought the wine list and had not warned me about the price in advance. Another time, the card was brought). They didn't even drink the wine or take it with them, let them drink it themselves! The mood was completely ruined. I had to pay the hotel instead of the scheduled excursions (we took a small amount in foreign currency with us). The hotel did not try to correct or smooth out this situation in any way, they simply issued an invoice for payment and did not even apologize. After that, I started counting the days to finally leave there. Bottom line: before the wine situation, I would have given the hotel an A. Given their deception and wasted money, I will not return to the hotel and will not advise anyone. And in general, I closed my vacation in Sri Lanka for myself because of the unpredictable weather and negative experiences.

I had a rest in December 2024. The rooms are good, the food is varied. Service for 3+. The entrance to the sea is a bit inconvenient, as there is a depth of two meters from the shore, and if there are waves, then you will not enter the ocean.
