I was there a few years ago, but, apparently, the situation has not changed much, both on the pros and cons. Yes, this is a very interesting place; monkeys are in their natural habitat (well, relatively natural - they live near the road anyway). Yes, they are as direct as possible, and you can look at them, their behavior, and their relationships, like on safari. I will not say that they are aggressive. Probably not. But they might be interested in some item that you have. Therefore, the guides immediately say that in no case should you show them the food (and in general, it's better not to bring it here). Young monkeys, I don't know why; maybe for fun, they can grab their legs. They didn't bite, they just tried to grab it once. But the main problem is the number of monkeys. There are a lot of them here, and this, for example, caused me concern. Yes, they don't seem to have any reason to attack, but when you think, "What if they attack?" - I'm getting scared for myself and for my family. Therefore, the place is interesting and unusual, but there are so many wild animals without any restrictions... It's scary.

Great place, free admission, really liked it. A walk uphill, at an altitude of 2000m, through the jungle surrounded by monkeys, that's something.

After reading the rave reviews about this place, we decided to go and evaluate it ourselves. We warn you in advance that it is better not to come here at all without medical insurance. You will really be amazed by the plentiful number of monkeys on this mountain. At first it will seem to you that there are not many of them, but over time, the higher you climb, the more they will be. Well, now the most important thing is that the advice that other tourists ask us to follow doesn't quite work, perhaps if we didn't follow them, it would be even worse. Anyway, towards the end of the journey, we were attacked by one of the monkeys, apparently a teenager. We were in a group of other foreign tourists. At some point, one of the individuals began to show a strong interest in our group, first climbed towards the foreigner, but he was able to dodge, then went in our direction. Trying to carefully avoid the conflict, we started trying to miss her, but it was not there. Apparently, the kid wanted to climb on his leg, but after an unsuccessful attempt, he decided to bite on it. The bite turned out to be without blood, but they decided not to risk it and went to the doctors. As a result, a trip to the hospital and a multi-stage rabies vaccination. Moreover, our insurance takes into account only 2 visits to a medical institution. So, the 3rd vaccination will already cost $ 25 (fortunately, the prescribed pills accompanying the treatment were also covered by insurance). In general, those who do not want unnecessary expenses and worries, I advise you not to try your luck and avoid this place. The place is impressive, there are really a lot of monkeys, but they are wild, so any advice can only reduce the risk of suffering from them, but in no case neutralize it.
