The Lighthouse base is a place where architecture itself tells a story. An amazing place with a huge territory and a whole complex of buildings. On the way to some buildings, I literally had to make my way through the undergrowth! Pure extreme for adventure lovers. I was pleasantly surprised that, unlike many other abandoned buildings, there is practically no garbage here. The location is relatively close to the central highway, the area of Staraya Gagra. Even abandonment has its own beauty.

Wow, I love touching history, but here it feels like time stood still during the Soviet period, while walking-I was nostalgic and told my daughter about "those" times, imagined how people came here and took baths with views of the mountains and the sea, so far this place has not lost its charm. The sanatorium is currently owned by a private individual..just like everything else in Abkhazia.

As long as this place is open, it's a must-visit! Very interesting, and generally safe. You won't see such an aura anywhere else. Go back 50 years ago. Where else is it possible. Everything can be touched, looked at, imagined... don't miss your chance.
