We were walking from the Simon the Canonite grotto, went downstairs, and on the way we met a very cozy tiny cafe, where we were immediately bribed by the smiling hostess of Paradise, who showed us a whole showcase of delicious-looking desserts, and told us that she had been cooking these sweets herself for many years. Napoleon was there, and Medovik (of enormous size!), and Pavlova. We immediately realized that the world was signaling to us about prasadam. We have visited a holy place, and now our path has led us to taste the food of the gods. It was very tasty, and we remembered this place well so that we could return there again - if we ate in New Athos, then only there! The hostess also gave us a pie with her just like that, as a gift to the children! The magic of Simon Kananit!

And now about why you DEFINITELY need to visit "Paradise". The hostess of the cafe - a welcoming, sweet, kind, bright Paradise - cooks as if she knows some secret that makes the most traditional Abkhazian dishes unforgettable delicious. Khinkali, hashlama, khachapur - everything is amazingly fragrant, satisfying and sincere. The highlight of the cafe is desserts. Raisa is not only an excellent cook, but also a pastry chef. Here you can taste delicious baskets with cream, meringue and much more. Everything is made from natural products, we have seen how desserts are baked, tried the freshest cream and still warm meringue. I have never tasted tastier desserts in Abkhazia. The prices are pleasant, neither above nor below average. But the quality that you get for this money is not comparable! You will not eat anywhere else in Athos so tasty and pleasant for money. Thank you, Aunt, Raya! We miss you and dream of coming back.
