GUM is a beautiful and iconic place right in the center. The architecture is stunning, and the atmosphere inside feels lively and elegant. Plenty of shops and nice spots to walk around. The only downside is that the restroom isn’t free. Overall, still a great place to visit.

Today I visited Gum to look at the Christmas decorations for the holidays. There were many smaller trees all decorated differently and a large main tree in the middle of the shopping centre which had a souvenir shop at the base of it. I really recommend bringing the family down to have a look this new year! Great vibes and lots of people, the Christmas market next door at Res Square will host ice skating and lots of hot wine.

The ice cream shop has to be the absolute best ice cream I've ever tried. Cherry is great, along with black currant. Every time I end up in Moscow, my wife and I have to try some. This is a must have all year around. Sure, its the start of cold season, but the taste is well worth it. Some of the stores are pricey, but I'm quite fond of the layout.
