Visiting the hammam was one of the most memorable moments of my trip to Istanbul. this is a 100% immersion in the culture of the city. even at the entrance to jagalogla, the authenticity of this place is felt. I liked that the men's and women's halls are located separately from each other. It is best to book a visit in advance to get a place for sure. I chose the "tip to toe" ritual, which was conducted by a charming Turkish woman. There is a deep respect for traditions here, and a special atmosphere of peace and tranquility reigns. In general, this place is ideal for those who want to immerse themselves in Istanbul culture and traditions.

The ancient hammam, built in 1741, allowed us to plunge into the past, gave us the opportunity to feel how the cleansing of the human body and mental state took place many centuries ago. An unforgettable experience was left by staying in this extraordinary place. Before that, we visited the "hammam" in hotels, which does not even remotely convey what we experienced here. Heaven and earth. Plus, each visitor has a personal attendant (ca), because men and puppies steam in different rooms. The sacrament begins with a 15-minute stay in a room (cell) like a Finnish sauna. In order not to get too hot, they give me a bottle of ice water, which was very useful, by the way, I drank periodically and even poured it on my head, because it didn't seem to be hot, but the warming up of the body was serious. Then each woman gets her own attendant, who leads to a huge spacious hall for performing all the necessary procedures. First, he douses with hot water from an iron bowl, as in ancient times, then puts it on the podium, where several women receive procedures at the same time, who also have their own personal bath attendants. Then he rubs with a glove, then massages the whole body with his hands, periodically pouring foam with some unusual aroma of citrus fruits or some other herbs, flowers or fruits. After the massage is over, the bath attendant takes her gently by the arm and escorts her to the washbasin, sits her down on a marble step and washes her hair with shampoo and balsam. Then he gives her towels and accompanies her to the recreation room, where tea, onions and sherbet are already waiting. We ordered the cheapest procedure in this hammam for 90 euros/45 min. It was enough for us to feel younger, as many write, to be born again. And really! In general, it's expensive, but worth it, I recommend it! P.S. It would be right to leave a tip, my family and I put 200 lira in an envelope for each of our bath attendants, which was located in an individual changing room. After we leave, the attendant (ca) comes, cleans up and collects his small fee. I don't know much or little, but that's what we decided.

Great place! A must-visit, especially for those who love baths, saunas and hammam! Everyone will feel something new after visiting. The building is old, has its own atmosphere, music, friendly staff. The prices are different, as well as the services, I bought for 90 euros, there was a discount for cash. This place was visited by various famous people. A hammam with a great history! I recommend.
