The Soviet 120 mm mortar, created in 1938 in the Design Bureau under the leadership of B.I. Shavyrin, was officially adopted by the Red Army in February 1939. It is a smooth-bore rigid system with an imaginary triangle scheme. During the production period from 1939 to 1945, about 52,000 mortars were fired. They were used during the Second World War from 1941 to 1945. Such mortars were actively used by partisan formations in the Vitebsk region. Free access allows you to inspect the mortar, which is in good condition, from all sides.
