Скульптура богини Минервы была установлена в Летнем саду одной из первых. Богиня, олицетворяющая силу и разум, носит военные доспехи, на голове шлем с плюмажем, в руке копьё. Она на страже города, государства. Этот образ присутствует и в Летнем дворце Петра I на деревянном панно при входе.
